One Fly & NFWF Partnership
The Jackson Hole One Fly Capital Foundation (One Fly) and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) established a partnership in 2003 to leverage both organizations’ funding and interest in cold water fisheries conservation, particularly in the tributaries and mainstem Snake and Yellowstone Basins. One Fly and NFWF have a long history in fisheries conservation throughout the greater Snake River and Yellowstone region. Both organizations have individually and jointly funded many important projects that are building on this success through this new partnership.
Since 2003, the Conservation Partnership between One Fly and NFWF has supported 92 projects resulting in more than $9 million for stream improvement and fisheries assessments in Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and California. One Fly has raised and contributed $1 million to native trout restoration projects through donations and the annual fly fishing event, which has been leveraged with over $1.4 million of NFWF federal funds and matched with an additional $6.5 million in grantee match for more than $9 million invested in conservation. This conservation partnership between One Fly and NFWF has turned every $1 donated to Jackson Hole One Fly into $9 to benefit western native trout since 2003.
Grant application information can be found on the Apply For A Grant page. Grant proposals are requested annually and reviewed jointly by NFWF and the Stream Improvement Committee of the Jackson Hole One Fly Foundation. NFWF awards and administers the grant contracts on behalf of the partnership.
